Data Collection and Management Specialist

Scale CAFI's digital Payments for Environmental Services platform across Congo Basin countries by improving Kobo field forms and data quality, testing releases, tracking defects, onboarding and training partners, localizing methods, translating field feedback into JIRA user stories and strengthening knowledge exchange.

Department: Central African Forest Initiative Secretariat, Payments for Environmental Services

• Optimize Kobo forms for beneficiary applications and field monitoring
• Ensure field-data quality, consistency and usability
• Test CAFI-PES releases across devices and network conditions
• Document defects in JIRA and coordinate ticket resolution
• Design partner onboarding for multi-country deployment
• Train and coach partners on PES methods and digital tools
• Adapt regional PES standards to national contexts
• Translate field feedback into prioritized product improvements and user stories

• Advanced degree in environmental science, economics, development economics, natural-resource management or a related field, or a bachelor's degree with two additional years of experience
• At least five years of relevant experience with a master's degree or seven years with a bachelor's degree
• Experience with Kobo Collect
• Experience with Payments for Environmental Services
• Experience supporting a programme-related digital tool
• Experience working with Congo Basin countries
• French fluency
