Responsibilities

  • Plan and design internal and external communications and outreach strategies for the Joint Programme
  • Develop communications needs assessments and integrate advocacy into programme implementation
  • Implement the publications strategy and develop storylines, articles and visibility products
  • Coordinate publication activities, content management, design, suppliers and dissemination
  • Create and promote campaigns, advocacy materials and public information products
  • Prepare web content, stories, articles, donor newsletters and community-awareness materials
  • Maintain media, donor, civil-society and private-sector contacts for outreach and advocacy
  • Identify and share best practices, lessons learned and knowledge products linked to programme goals

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in communications, media relations, journalism, publishing, partnership development or a related field, or bachelor's degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
  • Minimum five years with a master's degree, or seven years with a bachelor's degree, of relevant national or international experience in public relations, communications and advocacy
  • Proven experience with Adobe Creative Cloud or other software tools for data visualisation, infographics, presentations and reports
  • Strong written and verbal communication, writing and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in written and oral English
  • Proficiency in written and oral Arabic
