Communication Senior Associate

Supports WFP El Salvador's strategic positioning and visibility by implementing communications plans, producing content, managing media and digital channels, and supporting advocacy, partnerships and resource mobilisation.

• Implement country communication workplans to maintain WFP visibility and reputation and support fundraising
• Research, analyse and prepare information products for target audiences
• Maintain media contacts and support news and information flow about WFP work
• Develop social media content and use platforms, networks and partners to enhance coverage
• Generate donor visibility content across text, photo, video and audio formats
• Monitor and analyse traditional and social media to inform communications strategies
• Guide junior staff and support communications capacity building for WFP staff
• Liaise with WFP staff and external counterparts for aligned communications activities

• Advanced university degree in journalism, international relations, public relations, communications or other relevant field, or first university degree with additional related work experience or training
• Minimum seven years of postgraduate professional experience in journalism, public relations, communications, marketing or related field
• Fluency in English and Spanish
