Communication Officer

Delivers communication and visibility for UNICEF Moldova’s EU-funded education programme, producing audience-focused content, managing media relationships, monitoring campaign results and organizing events that promote inclusive learning, teacher development and modernized schools.

• Produce communication products and materials for the EU-funded education programme
• Develop and maintain relationships, contact information and materials for journalists and media outlets
• Monitor communication activities and prepare timely results and performance reports
• Plan and deliver special events that strengthen visibility and stakeholder participation
• Promote teacher and school-leader professional development and lifelong learning opportunities
• Develop content on inclusive education, digital pedagogy, STEEAM skills and model-school modernization
• Coordinate printed and digital visibility materials with European Union communication guidelines
• Support social-media and online communication that advances child rights and education priorities

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations or a related field
• One year of professional experience in communications, print or broadcast media, or interactive digital media
• Field experience and familiarity with emergency situations
• Fluency in Romanian
• Working knowledge of English
• Moldovan nationality or residency

• Temporary appointment lasting nine months
