Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advocacy and communication strategies for child rights priorities
- Lead national campaigns that engage children and young people as advocates
- Maintain media relationships and secure coverage of UNICEF programmes
- Build partnerships with government, UN, bilateral and civil-society counterparts
- Engage public figures and coordinate special events supporting programme goals
- Localize global communication priorities and provide country content for global use
- Support resource mobilization through targeted advocacy and communication
- Manage communication resources and evaluate strategy performance
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in journalism, communications, external relations, public affairs, public relations or corporate communications
- At least five years of progressively responsible professional experience in communication, print, broadcast or new media
- English fluency
