Communication Specialist

Manage UNICEF Ukraine's advocacy and communication strategy, leading child-rights campaigns, media relations, partner and celebrity engagement, global campaign localization and fundraising communications while supervising resources and measuring communication results.

Department: Ukraine Country Office, Communication

• Develop and implement advocacy and communication strategies for child rights priorities
• Lead national campaigns that engage children and young people as advocates
• Maintain media relationships and secure coverage of UNICEF programmes
• Build partnerships with government, UN, bilateral and civil-society counterparts
• Engage public figures and coordinate special events supporting programme goals
• Localize global communication priorities and provide country content for global use
• Support resource mobilization through targeted advocacy and communication
• Manage communication resources and evaluate strategy performance

• Advanced university degree in journalism, communications, external relations, public affairs, public relations or corporate communications
• At least five years of progressively responsible professional experience in communication, print, broadcast or new media
• English fluency

• Temporary national officer appointment based in Kyiv
