Support World Bank financial-inclusion research in Washington by acquiring and analysing regulatory, payment and digital-finance data, automating workflows in statistical code, integrating datasets with corporate AI systems, building RAG and agentic tools, and producing actionable research insights.

Department: Financial Inclusion and Infrastructure

• Acquire data through web scraping, APIs, surveys and administrative sources
• Analyse financial-inclusion and infrastructure data in statistical code
• Automate data and research workflows
• Draft report sections, briefs and presentations
• Integrate team datasets with corporate AI platforms
• Develop retrieval, agentic and AI-assisted document-review workflows
• Lead a focused research or operational project

• Ability to analyse data and automate workflows in Stata, R or Python
• Ability to lead a research or operational project with minimal supervision
• Working proficiency in the posting language, English
