Overview
This national UN Volunteer assignment supports UNICEF Iraq’s social behaviour change function through planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting. The role uses evidence, partnerships and capacity building to strengthen SBC programming in development and humanitarian contexts.

Responsibilities
- Analyse evidence and trends to inform SBC strategies, plans and briefing notes
- Support data collection, tracking, monitoring and reporting of SBC results
- Help establish community feedback mechanisms for preparedness, response and resilience
- Support development, implementation and monitoring of evidence-based SBC activities
- Integrate community engagement and social-behavioural approaches into sectoral workplans
- Contribute to proposals, donor reporting, budgeting and grant monitoring
- Coordinate stakeholders and partners for community engagement in humanitarian action
- Support SBC training, learning resources and capacity-development tools
Requirements
- Bachelor degree or equivalent
- University degree in social or behavioural science, sociology, anthropology, communication studies, communication for development, psychology or a related field
- Three years of professional experience in social development programmes, communication for development, social and behaviour change, public advocacy or a related area
- Familiarity with social and behaviour change communication tools and approaches
- Excellent oral and written skills, drafting, formulation and reporting skills
- Solid computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications and database management

- Entry lump sum: USD 350
