Shrimp Larviculture Specialist

Supports FAO Guyana shrimp aquaculture project delivery by advising and executing hatchery-side larviculture operations, larval rearing, hatchery protocols, stakeholder coordination and technical capacity strengthening.

• Execute and support shrimp hatchery larviculture operations
• Advise on larval rearing and hatchery protocols
• Coordinate with hatchery, maturation, water quality and production specialists
• Support project delivery and stakeholder engagement across the shrimp value chain
• Contribute to sustainable and inclusive aquaculture-sector development

• Advanced university degree in aquaculture, fisheries, biology, marine science or related field, or bachelor’s degree plus additional relevant experience
• Relevant experience in shrimp hatchery or larviculture operations
• Working knowledge of English
