Supports UNFPA Pacific Sub-Regional Office implementation of sexual and reproductive health and rights activities under the seventh Multi-Country Programme. The assignment combines programme management, partner coordination, advocacy and results-based reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation and management of SRHR programme activities at regional and country levels
  • Coordinate with implementing partners, government departments, consultants and experts on SRHR activities
  • Support UN system coordination through technical dialogue, documentation and knowledge management
  • Assist day-to-day SRHR programme management with regional partners and government counterparts
  • Contribute to advocacy and resource mobilisation through donor and public-information contacts
  • Organise donor meetings and public-information events and prepare background materials
  • Monitor regional and country-level implementation, partner performance and results indicators
  • Support evaluation missions and review meetings, recommending corrective actions where required
  • Prepare SRHR communication materials, technical briefs, reports and talking points

Requirements

  • Specialization in international development studies, public health, social sciences, reproductive health or a related field
  • Demonstrated interest or up to three years of experience in health or SRHR programme implementation and donor reporting
  • Good programme design skills, including preparing logical, coherent and consistent technical documents, log frames and budgets
  • Partnership management skills
  • Computer skills in current office software applications are required
  • English is required
