Responsibilities

  • Drive media relations and digital engagement strategies across the Middle East and North Africa
  • Build relationships with journalists, editors, content creators and social media influencers
  • Design and execute integrated communications campaigns across traditional and digital platforms
  • Develop communications products for senior IMF leadership, including press lines and briefing materials
  • Create, edit and publish digital content and social media assets
  • Monitor media coverage, digital conversations and audience sentiment
  • Support communications around management travel, flagship publications, conferences and policy announcements
  • Advise on communications positioning, reputation management and digital engagement

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree or equivalent in communications, journalism, political science, economics, finance, international relations or a related field with at least eight years of relevant professional experience, or university degree or equivalent with at least fourteen years of relevant professional experience
  • Significant experience working in or covering the Middle East and North Africa
  • Extensive knowledge of and relationships with key media outlets and figures
  • Demonstrated success building trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders including media, policymakers and digital influencers
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic
  • Strong strategic communications experience in fast-paced high-profile environments
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and functions
  • Experience monitoring and interpreting media, social media and geopolitical developments
