Psychosocial Support Intern

Supports IIIM staff wellbeing by analysing engagement-survey data, researching psychosocial support practice, developing trauma-prevention and deployment-readiness resources, and producing presentations, reports and online materials for the Operational Support Section.

Department: Operational Support Section

• Support the launch and interpretation of the annual wellbeing and employee engagement survey
• Assist the IIIM Workgroup on Wellbeing and Employee Engagement
• Research best practices for psychosocial support to staff
• Finalise the Psychological Preparedness for Deployment Manual
• Draft a vicarious trauma prevention guide
• Design staff-support materials for the Support to Staff online page
• Produce a survey analysis report, article, presentation and detailed meeting minutes

• Enrolment in or completion of a graduate programme, or enrolment in or completion of the final academic year of a first university degree
• Current or completed studies in industrial-organisational psychology, clinical psychology, forensic psychology or a related field
• Good knowledge of standard software applications including Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Teams
• Fluency in spoken and written English

• Flexible modality may be in-person, hybrid or remote
• Internship is unpaid, full-time at 40 hours per week and may require overtime
• Maximum duration is six months with an estimated start date of 14 September 2026
• Work may involve distressing material or information
• Interns bear travel, visa, accommodation and living costs and must secure insurance
