Programme Management Officer

Supports UNEP programme management in the Industry and Economy Division. The role contributes to sustainable consumption and production, chemicals and environmental policy work through planning, coordination, implementation and reporting.

Department: Industry and Economy Division

• Develop, implement and evaluate assigned UNEP programmes and projects
• Monitor and analyze programme development and implementation
• Review documents and reports and identify problems and corrective actions
• Coordinate policy development and sustainable development activities
• Prepare programme reports, briefings, inputs and presentations
• Liaise with partners and stakeholders on environmental programme delivery

• Advanced university degree in environmental management, business administration, economics, public policy, sustainable development or related field OR first-level university degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
• At least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in programme or project management, environmental policy, sustainable development or related area
• Experience in programme planning, implementation, monitoring or reporting
• English is required
