Responsibilities

  • Coordinate funding through the United Nations Voluntary Trust Fund for Assistance in Mine Action
  • Liaise with donors, ministries, multilateral funders and private-sector sources on mine-action funding opportunities
  • Consult UNMAS stakeholders on funding requirements, programme objectives and donor alignment
  • Develop and implement resource mobilisation initiatives, plans and materials
  • Negotiate contribution agreements with legal and other stakeholders for approval and signature
  • Monitor donor-agreement compliance and respond to donor queries and requests
  • Support senior management engagement with donors and represent UNMAS in donor meetings
  • Monitor pledges, contributions, payments, allotments and funding trends

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in business administration, management, economics, international relations or a related field, or a first-level degree with qualifying experience
  • At least five years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management, administration or a related area
  • Two years of experience in resource mobilisation and management, including reviewing and discussing donor agreement terms
  • Experience coordinating with senior United Nations colleagues and government representatives on complex issues
  • Experience drafting and editing documents for structure, grammar and UN editorial protocol with minimal supervision
  • English is required
