Responsibilities

  • Compile programme summaries, briefing notes, talking points and concept documents for the Population and Development portfolio
  • Prepare data analysis, statistical tables and annexes for reports and background papers
  • Review the political, social and economic environment and prepare analytical information for advocacy and resource mobilisation
  • Assist national counterparts with demographic analysis and data collection for evidence-based planning
  • Support planning and implementation of Population and Development programme activities with implementing partners
  • Monitor project performance and prepare reports, presentations and programme documentation
  • Track programme finances and operations, review partner supporting documents and support liquidation processes
  • Provide administrative and logistical support, including requisitions, procurement, events, workshops and travel arrangements

Requirements

  • Background in public administration, business, demography, statistics, social sciences or a relevant field
  • Minimum three years of relevant experience in population and data programme management, research, survey management, climate change, administration, finance or office management
  • Proficiency in current office software applications, web-based management systems and ERP financial systems
  • Technical knowledge of data collection and analysis, financial and administrative work, and secretarial best practices in a multicultural corporate environment
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and hands-on experience with data analysis software
  • Ability to work and adapt professionally in a challenging environment and multicultural team
  • Sound self-security awareness
  • Arabic and English language proficiency
