Overview

Supports the WTO Market Access Division with document formatting, proof-reading and filing of Member notifications and committee documents, and coordinates logistical arrangements for committee meetings, consultations and workshops. Provides administrative back-up support to the Division and its committees on tariffs, customs valuation, rules of origin and trade facilitation.

Responsibilities

  • Format, proof-read and check accuracy of documents submitted by WTO Members, mainly in English but also French and Spanish
  • Coordinate with registry, documents and translation services to ensure timely circulation of documents
  • Coordinate logistical arrangements for committee meetings, consultations, trainings and workshops
  • Provide on-site and virtual support to meeting participants
  • Provide back-up support in the absence of other office assistants

Requirements

  • Completed secondary education or equivalent technical/commercial school
  • Three to four years relevant experience working as an office assistant, preferably in an international organization, government ministry or legal office
