Logistics Officer (Data Analytics & Business Intelligence)

Develops supply-chain analytics, business intelligence and data models for UN operational support, improving reporting, vendor outreach and performance monitoring across Secretariat entities.

Department: Enabling and Outreach Service

• Advise supply-chain stakeholders on data analytics and reporting requirements
• Develop methodologies and tools for data collection, validation, transformation and analysis
• Create SOPs and KPI diagnostics for vendor registration and outreach processes
• Build BI dashboards and reporting requirements for Umoja Analytics and UN BI data models
• Analyse operational performance to support decision-making and process improvement
• Coordinate reporting, data and business-intelligence initiatives with stakeholders
• Prepare analytical reports, briefing materials and data extracts
• Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing and post-release validation

• Advanced university degree in supply chain management, logistics, engineering, business administration, public administration or another relevant field, or a first-level university degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
• At least five years of progressively responsible experience in logistics operations, supply chain management or a related field
• At least two years of experience developing analytical tools, data pipelines, data modelling and visualisation applications or business intelligence tools for management reporting and performance metrics
• Experience translating business requirements into data requirements, reporting specifications, data-model logic, test scenarios, user acceptance testing or technical documentation
• English is required

• Position is temporarily available as soon as possible through 30 June 2027 with possible extension subject to funding
• Selection may be limited to candidates based at the duty station
• Evaluation may include an assessment exercise and competency-based interview
