Responsibilities
- Contribute to implementation of national nutrition programmes and intervention planning
- Collaborate with government counterparts on public health programmes related to nutrition
- Provide technical assistance to the Ministry of Health and other ministries
- Undertake research and data collection on public health nutrition topics
- Draft and revise public health guidelines, policies and guidance documents
- Coordinate workshops, meetings, conferences and events relevant to the work area
- Support community outreach on health-care networks and nutrition activities
- Plan WHO emergency and humanitarian nutrition activities for preparedness, response and recovery
Requirements
- University degree in nutrition or health sciences with a focus on nutrition from a recognized university
- At least one year of relevant professional experience developing and implementing national or subnational health programmes in nutrition and food security
- Expert knowledge of English and Bahasa Indonesia
- Indonesian nationality is required for this National Professional Officer position

- Temporary appointment under Staff Rule 420.4 for two years
- Annual base salary starts at IDR 547,860,000 before mandatory deductions, with 30 days of annual leave
- Written test or asynchronous video assessment may be used for screening
- WHO contracts are conditional on required vaccination confirmation and medical clearance
