Responsibilities

  • Contribute to implementation of national nutrition programmes and intervention planning
  • Collaborate with government counterparts on public health programmes related to nutrition
  • Provide technical assistance to the Ministry of Health and other ministries
  • Undertake research and data collection on public health nutrition topics
  • Draft and revise public health guidelines, policies and guidance documents
  • Coordinate workshops, meetings, conferences and events relevant to the work area
  • Support community outreach on health-care networks and nutrition activities
  • Plan WHO emergency and humanitarian nutrition activities for preparedness, response and recovery

Requirements

  • University degree in nutrition or health sciences with a focus on nutrition from a recognized university
  • At least one year of relevant professional experience developing and implementing national or subnational health programmes in nutrition and food security
  • Expert knowledge of English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • Indonesian nationality is required for this National Professional Officer position

Additional info

  • Temporary appointment under Staff Rule 420.4 for two years
  • Annual base salary starts at IDR 547,860,000 before mandatory deductions, with 30 days of annual leave
  • Written test or asynchronous video assessment may be used for screening
  • WHO contracts are conditional on required vaccination confirmation and medical clearance
