National Project Officer (Reparations and Transitional Justice)

Coordinates IOM Iraq reparations and transitional-justice projects, translating survivor-centred legal frameworks into delivery, overseeing budgets and teams, monitoring results, reporting to donors and liaising with government, civil society and UN partners on justice and recovery.

Department: Legal Empowerment and Transitional Justice Unit

• Guide implementation of the reparations and transitional-justice strategy
• Coordinate financial, logistical, administrative and technical delivery of the project portfolio
• Align reparations work with civil documentation, property rights and legal-remedy activities
• Supervise pillar staff and build distributed technical capacity
• Monitor workplans, results and bottlenecks and implement corrective action
• Integrate gender, protection, human rights and survivor-centred practice
• Prepare donor and stakeholder reports
• Develop new projects and deliver partner capacity-building

• Master degree in law, political or social sciences, international relations, human rights, transitional justice, development or migration studies with two years of relevant experience, or university degree with four years
• Experience in transitional justice, reparations, rule of law, access to justice or protection programming
• Experience in project implementation, monitoring, reporting and budget oversight
• Fluency in English

• Special Short Term Graded appointment for up to nine months
• Duty travel is required
