Responsibilities
- Collect and analyse data on mental health, psychosocial support and substance abuse needs
- Manage information products and disseminate updated WHO information on relevant public health issues
- Assess implications of public health threats for mental health and substance-abuse programming
- Support integrated primary health care approaches for priority MHPSS and substance-abuse issues
- Provide technical support for mental health service organization plans and systems-based integration
- Review programme reports, proposals, guidelines and other documents using WHO guidance
- Compile materials for capacity building of government units, partners and health personnel
- Follow up with the Ministry of Health and partners on implementation of programme activities
Requirements
- University degree in Medicine with emphasis in Mental Health, Psychology, or Public Health with an emphasis in Mental Health
- At least one year of relevant work experience developing or implementing mental health related public health, capacity-building, policy actions or advocacy programmes at national level
- Professional experience providing technical services to national and sub-national governments and other partners in public health programmes in resource-limited settings
- Expert knowledge of English and Bahasa Indonesia
- Indonesian nationality is required for this National Professional Officer position

- Temporary appointment under Staff Rule 420.4 for two years
- Annual base salary starts at IDR 547,860,000 before mandatory deductions, with 30 days of annual leave
- Written test or asynchronous video assessment may be used for screening
- WHO contracts are conditional on required vaccination confirmation and medical clearance
