Overview
This national UNV assignment supports the UN Area Coordinator in localising the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework at sub-national level in Uganda. The role coordinates UN agencies, government and partners in the Karamoja region and supports joint analysis, reporting and PSEA activities.

Responsibilities
- Support the UN Area Coordinator in implementing the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework 2026-2030 at sub-national level
- Contribute to the design of system-wide programme instruments including the Joint Workplan and Annual Results Reporting
- Support UN joint analysis and assessment initiatives such as the Common Country Analysis and Cooperation Framework evaluation
- Facilitate the design and implementation of UN programmes at sub-national level, including organising meetings and workshops
- Maintain and strengthen coordination between UN agencies, local authorities and development actors at district and regional level
- Build and maintain partnerships with district local government and other stakeholders
- Support Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse activities including local network meetings
- Support organising regional events and review meetings for UN implementing partners
Requirements
- Background in economics, social sciences, development studies, international relations or a related field
- Experience coordinating and supporting multiple stakeholders
- Experience working in the field or outside Kampala
- Demonstrable writing and presentation skills in English
