Overview
The consultant will analyse the 2023/24 Zimbabwe DHS to explain young people’s access to sexual and reproductive health services, model inequities and barriers, and translate findings into a publication-quality thematic report for national planning and youth-responsive programming.

Responsibilities
- Analyse access, utilisation and unmet need for SRHR services among adolescents and young people
- Disaggregate service barriers by age, sex, residence, province, education and wealth
- Model associations between SRHR access and adolescent pregnancy, child marriage and HIV risk
- Conduct relevant cross-module analyses across the 2023/24 Zimbabwe DHS
- Apply survey weights, clustering and stratification throughout the analysis
- Produce a publication-quality thematic report with policy-relevant findings
- Translate statistical results into concise evidence for planners and lawmakers
- Collaborate with ZIMSTAT, health authorities and other national stakeholders
Requirements
- Master’s degree or PhD in Demography, Social Statistics, Public Health, Sociology, Epidemiology or a related field
- At least seven years of documented experience in complex secondary data analysis and statistical modelling
- Demonstrated experience with DHS or MICS datasets
- Expert programming capability in Stata or R
- Experience in adolescent and youth SRHR, family planning, adolescent pregnancy, HIV prevention or related research and programming
- Excellent communication and analytical writing skills
- Excellent English communication skills
