Responsibilities

  • Develop and revise safety standards and technical documents for radioactive material transport
  • Advise Member States and international organisations on transport safety regulations
  • Strengthen forums that raise awareness of topical transport safety issues
  • Plan, organise and lead complex technical meetings in transport safety
  • Support technical assistance and policy discussions with Member State representatives

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in nuclear science, nuclear technology, nuclear engineering or related discipline, or first-level degree plus two additional years of relevant work experience
  • Minimum seven years of experience in safety assessments related to transporting radioactive material or nuclear power plants
  • Participation in developing or applying IAEA safety standards related to transport and nuclear installations
  • Ability to prepare high-quality and accurate technical documents
  • Excellent oral and written command of English
