Responsibilities

  • Serve as regional focal point for OHCHR engagement on economic, social and cultural rights
  • Develop evidence-based policy papers, legal briefs and advocacy messaging
  • Monitor implementation of workplans and international human rights instruments
  • Engage governments, NHRIs, civil society and UN partners on projects, training and capacity-building

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in law, political science, international relations, social sciences, economics, data science, public policy or related field, or first-level degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
  • At least seven years of progressively responsible experience in human rights, political affairs, international relations, law, economics, public policy or related area
  • At least five years of experience in cultural rights
  • English at UN Level III
