Responsibilities
- Monitor and report on grave violations against children and other child-rights violations
- Conduct independent and impartial investigations of alleged human rights and humanitarian law violations
- Interview child victims and witnesses using child- and gender-sensitive techniques
- Collect information on children associated with armed groups
- Connect monitoring and reporting activities with programmatic responses for child victims
- Contribute to analysis and documentation for the Commission on Human Rights in South Sudan
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in law, human rights, political science, international relations, social sciences or related field OR first-level university degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
- At least 5 years of experience in human rights, child protection, investigations, humanitarian protection or related field
- Experience interviewing victims or witnesses and documenting human rights violations
- English is required
