Field Assistant DTM

Supports DTM field operations by organising data collection, coordinating with local stakeholders and reporting field progress, access issues and emerging needs for the Venezuela earthquake response.

Department: DTM

• Support planning, coordination and monitoring of DTM field activities in assigned areas
• Organize rapid assessments, mobility tracking, site assessments, registration support and key informant interviews
• Coordinate with local authorities, community leaders, service providers and partners to facilitate field access
• Brief, accompany and support enumerators or field teams during data collection
• Review, test and improve data collection tools, forms and field guidance materials
• Collect, compile and verify information from authorities, community focal points, partners and affected populations
• Provide regular updates on field access, progress, challenges, population movements, needs and observations

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Geography, Information Management, Statistics, Computer Science, International Relations, Public Administration or a related field with three years of relevant experience, or high school diploma with five years of relevant experience
• Experience supporting field operations, data collection, assessments, community engagement, monitoring and evaluation or information management in humanitarian, emergency or development contexts
• Experience compiling field information, preparing basic summaries, maintaining records and supporting operational updates or information products
• Fluency in Spanish and English

• Initial contract duration until 31 December 2026
• Offer is subject to funding confirmation

• Duty travel is required for DTM field activities
