Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Trainee

This UNV assignment is a one-month Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Level 1 training for women under UN Women's She Demines programme in Ukraine. Trainees build job-ready skills in humanitarian mine action, preparing them for future roles with state and non-state demining operators.

Department: She Demines Programme

• Fully participate in all assigned modules of the EOD Level 1 course over one month at the training centre in Kamianets-Podilskyi
• Comply with safety regulations, operational procedures and the code of conduct throughout training
• Actively engage in practical field exercises and assessments
• Maintain regular attendance and inform programme coordinators of any issues affecting participation
• Demonstrate responsibility, discipline and teamwork throughout the course

• Open to female candidates only
• Completed secondary education
• Strong motivation to build a career in humanitarian mine action
• Good physical fitness and endurance for field-based training
• Willingness to work in physically demanding field conditions

• Volunteer assignment via UNV
• One-month training programme in Kamianets-Podilskyi beginning August 2026; exact dates confirmed to selected candidates
• Monthly volunteer living allowance of USD 422 plus accommodation, meals and training-related insurance coverage
• Open exclusively to female candidates
