Electrician

Provides individual-contractor electrical maintenance, inspection, installation, testing and emergency repair support for UNSCOL premises in Lebanon.

Department: Logistics

• Maintain, inspect, repair, install, test and wire electrical apparatus at UNSCOL premises
• Install electrical components according to architectural and code specifications
• Run wires through conduit and test wiring connections with electrical test equipment
• Test and repair electrical equipment and support mechanical repairs
• Inspect equipment periodically and replace circuit breakers and switches
• Respond to emergency electrical problems at the premises when called

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Three years of experience in electrical repair and maintenance or a related area
• Fluency in Arabic is required
• Knowledge of English is required
• Residence in Lebanon and ability to report to duty in Baabda whenever needed

• Individual contractor assignment for six months
• Duty support is required at Villa Sehnaoui, Yarze, Baabda
• Emergency response may include weekends and nights
