Overview

The specialist will support UNICEF Georgia's education programming through planning, policy dialogue, monitoring, partner engagement, innovation and capacity building to improve equitable education outcomes and sector reforms.

Responsibilities

  • Support preparation, design and updating of education situation analysis
  • Formulate programme proposals aligned with UNICEF, UNSDCF and national priorities
  • Provide technical and operational support across all stages of education programming
  • Monitor education programmes through reviews, reports, field visits and surveys
  • Provide guidance to government, NGO, UN and donor partners on education policies and approaches
  • Build partnerships with government, donors, academia and development partners
  • Prepare advocacy, communication and information materials for education programmes
  • Apply innovative approaches and build partner capacity for sustainable programme results

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in education, economics, psychology, sociology or another relevant technical field
  • At least five years of progressively responsible professional experience in education planning, development, implementation, management, monitoring, evaluation, research and reporting
  • Demonstrated experience in education programme development, planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, research and reporting
  • Strong experience in education policy analysis and development, including sector reforms and evidence-based decision-making
  • Experience developing and managing partnerships with government counterparts, donors, civil society organisations, academia and other development partners
  • Proficiency in English and Georgian is required
