Responsibilities
- Assess social protection system capacity to address climate-related risks to livelihoods and income security
- Develop evidence-based pathways for climate-resilient and inclusive social protection in Fiji
- Provide substantive guidance on social protection and the research focus for the national consultant
- Draft the country report under the CRISP initiative
- Analyse climate context, social protection provision, climate integration and country pathways
- Generate lessons and approaches to inform similar efforts in other ESCAP member States
Requirements
- Master's degree in economics, social development, climate change, social administration or labour studies, or equivalent ten years of work experience in social protection
- At least ten years working in a development context including authoring reports and publications relevant to social protection, employment and shock-responsive social protection
- Demonstrated expertise in research methodology
- Excellent English speaking and drafting skills
