Responsibilities
- Review the existing national Water Safety Plans manual and relevant water quality frameworks
- Conduct desk review and site visits to inform manual revision
- Consult WASH stakeholders and government counterparts on manual updates
- Support national validation of the revised manual
- Advise on drinking water safety, risk assessment and control measures
Requirements
- Master degree in public health, environmental engineering, environmental science, water resource management, civil engineering or a related field
- Minimum five years of experience in WHO water safety plan framework, drinking water quality standards and guidelines, waterborne diseases, water supply system components, risk assessment, control measures and WASH sector knowledge
- Working experience with UN or another international development agency
- Proven experience liaising with government bodies
- Excellent verbal and written English communication
