Responsibilities
- Plan DOCK-led and client-led communications outputs for departments, offices, campaigns and institutional priorities
- Coordinate with client departments to develop and execute communication plans
- Develop communications and knowledge advisory plans, including production, dissemination and marketing strategies
- Lead strategic communications for donor engagement, ADB visibility and donor-country positioning
- Serve as primary interface with international media and maintain media relationships
- Manage and guide resident mission and representative office communications officers
- Support issues and crisis communications, including risk monitoring and response materials
- Coach and mentor teams and individuals and support Annual Meeting communications
Requirements
- University degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Policy, International Development or a relevant field, preferably at postgraduate level or equivalent
- At least eight years of relevant experience in media relations, public affairs or strategic communications
- International experience working in several countries
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines
- Ability to build and maintain traditional and new media networks and manage media inquiries
- Excellent writing, editing and oral communication skills
- Good knowledge of development and communication issues in Asia and the Pacific
- Nationality of an ADB member country
