Communication Specialist

Develops print, digital and visual communication for FAO India pandemic preparedness and One Health projects, supporting visibility, knowledge products, advocacy events and compliance with FAO communication standards.

Department: FAO India

• Develop and maintain communication materials for FAO projects with consistent branding and visibility
• Produce digital and print visibility materials for Pandemic Fund and One Health projects
• Draft, edit and review reports, case studies, op-eds and policy papers
• Coordinate communication products and advocacy events with government counterparts, the World Bank and ADB
• Facilitate knowledge sharing through government portals, events and multimedia materials
• Coordinate clearance of communication products with FAO regional and headquarters offices
• Ensure communication outputs comply with FAO corporate policies, FAOSTYLE and clearance standards
• Support workshops, training programmes, event communications and stakeholder engagement

• Advanced university degree in social science, journalism, communications, public relations or a related field
• At least five years of relevant experience in interdisciplinary research and developing media and communication material
• Experience relevant to web publishing, information management and hypermedia applications in the development sector
• Working knowledge of English
• Indian nationality
