Responsibilities
- Support FAO communication activities and the country communication strategy
- Prepare annual operational plans and follow up on implementation
- Identify opportunities to project FAO priorities in UN Common System agendas
- Organise communication events and activities at country level
- Research and analyse information for internal and external communication
- Produce and disseminate press releases, web articles, newsletters, brochures and social media content
- Identify key media outlets aligned with FAO thematic priorities
- Ensure communication products comply with FAO messages, terminology, standards and guidelines
Requirements
- University degree in public relations, communication, international relations or a related field
- At least three years of experience in communications, public relations or a related field
- Working knowledge of English at C1 level
- Namibian nationality or residence in Namibia with a valid work permit
