Responsibilities
- Organise field visits to investigate allegations of human rights violations, including gender-based violence
- Research the human rights situation using government, media and partner sources
- Draft notes, advocacy tools and human rights reports for OHCHR and UN reporting processes
- Build cooperative relationships with state and non-state human rights institutions
- Support preparation and delivery of human rights training, awareness and capacity-building activities
- Contribute to planning, implementation and evaluation of office workplan activities
- Design office projects, assess partner project submissions and support resource mobilisation
- Promote the visibility of the office mandate through public relations, written, audio and visual materials
Requirements
- Aged between 18 and 26 throughout the period of service
- Zero to two years of professional experience
- Student or recent graduate in law, international relations, social sciences or a related field
- Motivation to contribute to peace and development and serve others
- French and English are required
