Supports WFP financial planning and budget control by validating budget data, registering and tracking resources, analysing donor and funding needs, monitoring country-plan closure, improving finance processes and producing reliable reports for operational decisions.

Department: Finance and Budget Control

• Implement budget and programming plans, processes and guidelines and track agreed targets
• Validate budget information for accuracy, completeness and compliance and flag inconsistencies
• Review and register budgets in WFP systems and follow up documentation and observations
• Analyse donor trends, funding gaps and resource needs for financing proposals and prioritisation
• Monitor resource transfers and activity closure for Country Strategic Plans
• Consolidate and analyse finance data for accurate management reports and decisions
• Improve systems, tools and procedures for tracking, managing and reporting budgets and resources
• Monitor financial risks and emergency-preparedness mitigation actions

• Academic background in finance, statistics, audit, economics or a related field
• Three years of progressive experience in finance, budget management or related functions
• Experience supporting budget and administrative management, including resource tracking, operational budgets and reporting
• Ability to analyse, consolidate and present decision-ready information accurately
• Knowledge of financial systems, management tools and institutional procedures

• Monthly volunteer allowance of BOB 7,403, USD 350 entry bonus and BOB 822 exit allowance for each month served
• Volunteer assignment via UNV for 148 days
