Responsibilities
- Study the UNICEF AI strategy and prepare a presentation for partners
- Research GCC country priorities on AI with and for children
- Support country-specific models for UNICEF engagement on AI through partnership and programme approaches
- Suggest models for engaging young people in AI discourse
- Contribute evidence on AI governance, convening and child rights advocacy
- Support thinking on child-centred AI pilots, scaling and resource mobilisation
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or graduated within the past two years from an undergraduate, graduate or Ph.D. degree programme, preferably in international development
- Exposure to political and ethical discussions about AI and expressed interest in AI
- Proficiency in at least one UNICEF working language, English, French or Spanish, and fluency in the working language of the office of assignment
- Strong academic performance shown by recent university or institution records
- No immediate relatives working in any UNICEF office and no relatives in the intern's reporting line
- At least 18 years old
