Responsibilities

  • Prepare the WHO dog-mediated rabies elimination dossier
  • Document unavailable evidence and programme information gaps
  • Assess national rabies governance and cross-sector coordination
  • Compile evidence on human and animal rabies-control activities
  • Evaluate surveillance, diagnostics and post-verification readiness
  • Recommend measures addressing bat-rabies and zoonotic-response gaps
  • Deliver validated reports to PAHO and national authorities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human or animal health sciences from a recognized institution
  • At least seven years of national experience working with health-ministry programmes
  • Experience in data analysis, impact assessment or comparable studies
  • English proficiency
