Responsibilities

  • Finalize and validate community monitoring tools for harmful-practice prevention programmes
  • Improve methodological rigour, usability and practical application through pilot testing and refinement
  • Support indicator selection for measuring behavioural drivers and social norms
  • Document monitoring approaches, methodologies and guidance for country-level use
  • Translate evidence on harmful practices into practical monitoring guidance
  • Support institutionalisation and scale-up of evidence-informed SBC monitoring approaches

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in Social and Behaviour Change, Social Sciences, Anthropology, Sociology, Psychology, Public Health, International Development, Law, Gender Studies, Research Methods or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in SBC, social norms programming and measurement, community engagement, social norms research, behavioural research or related fields
  • Experience designing, implementing and measuring programmes addressing harmful practices, gender equality, violence against women and girls, child protection, sexual and reproductive health or related issues
  • Expertise in social norms theory, measurement and application
  • Experience conducting qualitative and mixed-methods research
  • Experience developing guidance, toolkits, frameworks, methodologies or other global public goods
  • Experience producing knowledge products, publications, journal articles or technical reports for international audiences
  • Excellent written and spoken English
