Responsibilities
- Monitor political, social, economic and cultural developments affecting the protection environment
- Apply relevant international and national law and protection standards to operational work
- Advise persons of concern and liaise with authorities on documentation and protection issues
- Conduct eligibility and status determination support and manage individual protection cases
- Develop protection, child protection and education responses with communities and partners
- Identify durable solutions through repatriation, local integration, resettlement and complementary pathways
- Manage protection information and provide disaggregated data for operational decisions
- Build the capacity of authorities, institutions and NGOs on protection legislation and procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma with at least three years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree or higher with at least two years of relevant experience
- Indian nationality
- Knowledge of UNHCR protection principles and standards
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Willingness to travel within India
