Responsibilities
- Collect and organise data on basic human rights issues linked to PDHJ and the Paris Principles
- Support capacity-building and technical assistance for Timor-Leste’s national human rights institution
- Draft briefing notes, background papers, meeting minutes and summaries
- Organise workshops, seminars and meetings
- Prepare presentations, talking points and communication materials
- Contribute regular updates on the country’s human rights situation
- Assist with basic data management
Requirements
- Background in human rights, law, political science or international relations
- Demonstrated interest or experience of up to three years in human rights promotion and protection
- Demonstrated interest or experience in democratic governance
- Research, analysis and report-writing skills
- English is required
