Responsibilities
- Assist programme and project planning and preparation work for departmental initiatives
- Monitor project proposal status and receipt of documentation for review and approval
- Compile, summarise and present information and data on programmes and related issues
- Review project documents, cost plans and budgets for completeness and compliance
- Coordinate administrative actions for recruitment, travel, training, payments, procurement and services
- Enter project delivery data and draft status reports identifying shortfalls or budget overruns
- Prepare correspondence, briefing notes, statistical summaries and spreadsheets
- Provide office support, manage records, organise meetings and guide junior staff
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least five years of experience in programme or project administration, technical cooperation or a related area, reduced to three years with a first-level degree or higher
- Experience formatting reports and other documents
- English at the required UN Level II standard
- Authorisation to work for the United Nations in the Geneva duty station
