Portuguese Proofreader for the 2027–2030 Cooperation Framework

The online volunteer proofreads the Portuguese version of Mozambique’s 2027–2030 UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework, correcting language and formatting, enforcing inclusive UN editorial conventions, resolving cross-reference inconsistencies and delivering tracked and publication-ready versions.

Department: Mozambique Resident Coordinator Office

• Proofread Portuguese grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax and typography
• Standardize capitalization, numbering, headings, abbreviations and formatting
• Verify tables, figures, annexes, page references and cross-references
• Apply United Nations editorial conventions and inclusive language
• Flag apparent inconsistencies without changing substantive content
• Incorporate consolidated review comments
• Deliver tracked-changes and clean publication-ready versions

• Bachelor’s degree in Portuguese-language teaching, communications, journalism, linguistics or a related field
• Demonstrated experience proofreading or editing professional Portuguese publications, reports or policy documents
• Excellent written Portuguese
• Ability to work accurately under tight deadlines and maintain confidentiality
