Responsibilities

  • Define and implement IOM Venezuela’s internal and external communication strategy
  • Develop media relationships and coordinate press conferences, releases and briefing points
  • Create timely digital content and maintain website and social-media channels
  • Coordinate with government, NGO and UN communication counterparts
  • Produce written and audiovisual public-information products for national and international audiences
  • Manage newsletters, press products and other communication channels in English and Spanish
  • Ensure compliance with donor visibility and communication requirements

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in journalism, communication, development studies or a related field, or a university degree in one of those fields with two years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience in journalism or a related field covering national and international issues
  • Fluency in spoken and written Spanish and English
  • Venezuelan citizenship or legal residence and work authorisation in Venezuela
