Responsibilities
- Prepare an inception report.
- Undertake value chain assessments for priority agrifood commodities.
- Assess production systems, market linkages, value chain performance and investment opportunities.
- Analyze gender, nutrition and climate considerations across priority value chains.
- Assess post-harvest losses and identify opportunities for value addition.
- Develop investment entry-point analyses and recommendations for nutrition-sensitive value chain development.
- Provide technical inputs to support agrifood investment planning and partnership development.
Requirements
- University Degree from an institution recognized by the International Association of Universities (IAU)/UNESCO in Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, Agriculture, Food Systems, Rural Development, Economics, Development Studies or a related field.
- Minimum three years of relevant experience in value chain analysis, agribusiness, agricultural economics, market analysis, rural development or related fields.
- Working knowledge of English.
