National Gender, Environmental and Social Safeguards Specialist

Supports FAO Viet Nam GEF projects by integrating gender, environmental and social safeguards across water, biodiversity, fisheries, ecosystem restoration and sustainable landscape initiatives.

• Support gender, environmental and social safeguard work across FAO Viet Nam GEF projects
• Review project activities for safeguard compliance and risk management
• Advise teams on gender mainstreaming and social inclusion
• Support documentation, monitoring and reporting for safeguards
• Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders on safeguard implementation

• Relevant advanced degree or equivalent experience in environmental management, social safeguards, gender, natural resources or related field
• Experience applying environmental and social safeguards and gender mainstreaming in development projects
• Working knowledge of English and Vietnamese
