Responsibilities
- Manage, edit and post Japanese social media content for UNU accounts
- Develop and disseminate Japanese website content for projects, publications, events and activities
- Draft social media strategies and campaigns to increase engagement with Japanese audiences
- Support logistics, promotion, registration and same-day delivery for online and in-person outreach events
- Translate English materials into Japanese and draft, edit and proofread content in both languages
- Compile and coordinate Japanese communications products including newsletters, annual report content and research commentary
Requirements
- High school diploma or bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, Applied Languages, Digital Marketing or a related discipline
- High school diploma holders must have two years of relevant working experience in communications or social media
- Exemplary Japanese and English reading, speaking and writing skills
- Experience with social media monitoring tools
- Demonstrated ability to create social content for various platforms and audiences
- Experience working in teams and in a multicultural context
