Responsibilities

  • Research trafficking and migrant-smuggling trends, legal frameworks and country contexts
  • Support planning, implementation and monitoring of technical-assistance projects
  • Collect and analyse case law and maintain information on UNODC platforms
  • Prepare training materials, guidance notes, briefs, statements and presentations
  • Support intergovernmental meetings, expert groups and inter-agency coordination
  • Liaise with United Nations offices, external organisations and Member States
  • Compile press coverage and research emerging cross-cutting issues

Requirements

  • Current or completed graduate programme, or current or completed final year of a bachelor degree
  • Studies in criminology, law, political science, social science, psychology, international relations or a related field
  • Sound analytical and drafting skills
  • Computer literacy in standard office applications
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
