Individual Contractor - Scraper

Supports ESCWA research on future labour markets by identifying employment data sources, applying web scraping methods and maintaining datasets for analysis of skills and job trends.

Department: Future of Work Project

• Identify job and employment-related websites for potential data scraping
• Apply ethical guidelines and legal boundaries for web scraping
• Develop simple algorithms to extract job listings, company information and skills data
• Use web scraping tools and technologies under supervision
• Monitor and update scraped datasets
• Identify and resolve basic issues during the web scraping process

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science or another related computer field
• Applicants must submit a copy of the required educational degree
• At least one year of scraping experience
• Fluency in English and Arabic
• Legal right to live and work in the specified working location

• Individual contractor assignment expected for five months
• Work location is UN House ESCWA with hybrid working
• Recruitment is on a local basis
