Responsibilities

  • Analyse the category and define strategic priorities aligned with global procurement objectives
  • Translate category priorities into action plans with risks, resources and stakeholders identified
  • Lead sourcing processes in line with procurement policy and internal client requirements
  • Monitor market trends, supply chain risks and category performance indicators
  • Segment suppliers and manage strategic supplier relationships
  • Resolve supplier performance issues and promote sustainability assessment
  • Develop stakeholder networks across MSF entities and external actors
  • Advise internal stakeholders using category expertise

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering, ideally with a specialisation in purchasing or project management, or equivalent relevant education and experience
  • Experience in equipment sourcing, ideally in the biomedical sector
  • More than five years of experience in procurement or a supply-related function
  • More than two years of strategic procurement experience including vendor management
  • Direct work experience in a complex multi-entity organisation
  • Experience in global contracting and negotiations
  • Proficiency in standard office tools including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and data management
  • Fluent spoken and written English
