Responsibilities
- Analyse the category and define strategic priorities aligned with global procurement objectives
- Translate category priorities into action plans with risks, resources and stakeholders identified
- Lead sourcing processes in line with procurement policy and internal client requirements
- Monitor market trends, supply chain risks and category performance indicators
- Segment suppliers and manage strategic supplier relationships
- Resolve supplier performance issues and promote sustainability assessment
- Develop stakeholder networks across MSF entities and external actors
- Advise internal stakeholders using category expertise
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering, ideally with a specialisation in purchasing or project management, or equivalent relevant education and experience
- Experience in equipment sourcing, ideally in the biomedical sector
- More than five years of experience in procurement or a supply-related function
- More than two years of strategic procurement experience including vendor management
- Direct work experience in a complex multi-entity organisation
- Experience in global contracting and negotiations
- Proficiency in standard office tools including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and data management
- Fluent spoken and written English
