Responsibilities

  • Produce a 50-page study synthesising methods used to forecast care needs
  • Develop a theoretical framework and measurement units for care time and monetary indicators
  • Analyse drivers of care demand across age, gender, socioeconomic status and health
  • Assess indicators covering internationalisation, care deficits, mistreatment and supply-demand balance
  • Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of existing indicators
  • Propose new indicators for poorly understood dimensions of care
  • Submit draft and final studies incorporating technical comments from ECLAC and GIZ

Requirements

  • University degree in social sciences, economics, sociology, demography or another relevant social-science field
  • At least ten years of research experience in care economics, time use, unpaid-work measurement, demography or gender-responsive social policy
  • Fluency in Spanish
